We note that the weighed ingredients are listed in metric proportions, since Ms. Hay hails from Australia. If your scale doesn’t do metric, remember that one pound = 454 grams. If you have problems with the fractions, we know there are websites for those conversions, too.
Golden syrup appears in the list of ingredients. This is a product common in Commonwealth nations, but is available in the U.S., too. If you can’t find it, here is a link for making your own. (Or it would be fine to substitute maple syrup.)
