Taverna Opa is a chain of six restaurants (all in Florida) serving Greek food. We ate at the Orlando location, 9101 International Drive in the Pointe Orlando entertainment district. In addition to the food, the place has a lively (and noisy) atmosphere replete with Zorba-style line dancing for patrons so inclined, paper-napkin confetti showers for virtually any reason, and belly dancers.
Here is a link to the menu. We had the tzatziki with pita for an appetizer, excellent fresh seafood and pastitsio (Greek style lasagna). There were many options for Mediterranean wines, too. The tzatziki was creamy without being watery. We plan to include our versions of tzatziki and pastitsio on this blog soon.
