Tried out this “new” restaurant in Burnsville (opened last summer), and we thought the food and service were quite good. The restaurant is owned by the same group that runs Doolittle’s in Eagan. Our main complaint is the place does not take reservations. This is always problematic for anyone who has other places to get to (movies, parties, back at a certain time to relieve the babysitter).
We had the walleye (excellent, but know the entree is crusted) and the cod. The salad choices to accompany an entree are limited, but the mixed greens and panzanella choices were very good. There is a limited wine list, but most choices are offered by the glass, as opposed to many restaurants that only offer a few such choices. The wine list also includes the categories “Interesting Whites” and “Interesting Reds,” which allowed us to try some varietals you don’t always see.
Overall, quite a good restaurant, but perhaps a bit overpriced.
